Our Staff

Our staff genuinely respect and care about children. Our staff members are Registered Early Childhood Educators (RECE) and maintain current standard First Aid and Level C C.P.R which includes Infant, Child and Adult C.P.R training. They are involved in ongoing Professional Development, as well as in local and broader child care advocacy.
The childcare centre is governed by a Board of Directors made up of parents and community members. Monthly meetings are held by the Board, excluding summer months and parents are always welcome and encouraged to attend. The childcare centre operates under the direction of the Ministry of Education and the Child Care and Early Years Act 2014. The childcare adheres to the Ministry of Education’s vision for the implementation of FDK and curriculum guidelines.

Our Programs

We run Nursery School, Summer Camp, Before and After School, P.A. Day and School Holiday programs in addition to Toddler and Preschool programs. Priority is given to full time care and, in the event that we are reaching full enrolment, a part time space could be “bumped” by someone requiring full time care. We are open from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, excluding holiday closures.

Program Descriptions
FULL DAY PROGRAM: Provides care for children 12 months - 6 years with a full day of childcare five days a week. This type of care is available full time (Monday to Friday) or locked in days part time, at a minimum of two days per week.

NURSERY SCHOOL: Provides care for children 2 - 5 years inclusive, and runs from 9 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. daily. We accept children for a minimum of two days a week, based on availability.

SUMMER PROGRAM FDK: Provides care for children ages 4 to 6 years during the summer break.

SUMMER PROGRAM SCHOOL AGE: Provides care for children ages 6 to 12 years during the summer break.

BEFORE AND/OR AFTER SCHOOL: This program provides care for children 4 years (i.e., Junior Kindergarten) to 12 years and runs for 10 months to coincide with the school year. The Before School program operates from 7:00 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. and the After School program operates from 3:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.It is the responsibility of the child to come directly to the centre after school; FDK children will be picked up and dropped off by the childcare centre’s staff and the child must be committed to a regular schedule. Regular daily rates are required on all PA days and Statutory Holidays (even if not utilized) or you are eligible to extend this to full day coverage for a difference in price of your child’s program fee (Full day rate - BS/AS rate = amount owing).

P.A. DAY AND SCHOOL HOLIDAYS (including March and Christmas breaks): This program provides care for children 4 years (i.e. Junior Kindergarten) to 12 years, during regular hours of operation.
